Most of the world knows Maureen O’Sullivan as Jane, to Johnny Weissmuller’s Tarzan, or she is know as Mia Farrow’s mother….
At the Historic Elitch Theatre, we got to know her as a wonderful actress who starred in three productions: 1972’s Butterflies Are Free, 1976’s Sabrina Fair, and 1983’s Outward Bound.

- 1935 — Cardinal Richelieu — Cesar Romero and Douglass Dumbrille. Romero played Andre de Pons; O’Sullivan played Lenore and Dumbrille played Baradas.
- 1938 — Port of Seven Seas — Film — Cora Witherspoon (Appeared together in the same film; O’Sullivan starred as Madelon and Witherspoon played Claudine.)
- The Crooked Hearts (TV movie, 1972): Douglas Fairbanks, Jr, Kent Smith, and Dick Van Patten. All three are in the cast alongside Fairbanks as Rex Willoughby.
