Among the many stars that have passed through the Historic Elitch Theatre, we’ve had some great parents too. Some of our most-notable stars have equally-notable children, including Carrie Fisher’s Mom (Debbie Reynolds) and Bonnie Raitt’s Dad (John Raitt). And, Robert is the dad of actor, Alan Alda.
In 1950, Robert was in the original cast of Guys and Dolls, as Sky Masterson, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
Years later, in 1966, he appeared at the Historic Elitch Theatre in the musical comedy, Riverwind.
