In 1946, Gary Merrill opened on Broadway with the original cast of the play, Born Yesterday. 28 years later he appeared in the same play at the Historic Elitch Theatre.
In addition to his impressive acting career, Merrill’s off-stage life was equally enviable: he was married to Bette Davis and then Rita Hayworth.
