Cyril Ritchard is best known as Captain Hook in the 1955 Mary Martin production of Peter Pan, for which he won the Tony Award.
Shortly before he died, Ritchard provided the voice for Elrond in the Rankin/Bass version of The Hobbit.
At the Historic Elitch Theatre, he is known for his 1964 appearance in The Irregular Verb to Love.
