Kitty Carlisle may be best known for her 20+ years on the TV game show, To Tell the Truth, but at Elitch Theatre we love her for her two appearances at the theatre: 1965 in The Marriage-Go-Round and 1970 in Light Up the Sky.
Carlisle served on various arts councils and was chair of the New York State Council on the Arts for 20 years. Through her role on the Council, she was also a champion of historic preservation and she directed millions of dollars to support preservation projects around New York state.
