When Leslie Caron appeared at Elitch Theatre, the review in the Rocky Mountain News of the play One for the Tango had much to say about the translation from French into English.
The team that translated One for the Tango from French to English should have wine poured in their typewriters, and a croissant stuffed in their mouths.
The play, which is said to have delighted French audiences in its native tongue, lands on the Elitch stage with a thud. The reasons for seeing One for the Tango might include inspecting Caron from a 10th row seat and supporting the Elitch Theatre season, which opened with a solid hit in the form of Harvey and now has three more chances to redeem itself.
