With a career ranging from her start on Broadway at age five, to a 2014 appearance in the television show Boardwalk Empire, Joyce Van Patten has had a long (and busy) career. Possibly best known for her dozens of television roles, she’s also been in major movies and theatre productions.
In 1944, Van Patten appeared on Broadway in The Perfect Marriage, but just months earlier, at just 10-years old, Van Patten was part of the Elitch’s Theatre summer stock company. Her shows that summer included Tomorrow The World with Raymond Burr.
Five years later, in 1949, Van Patten returned for another summer at the theatre.
