Before the opening of the 1923 season, a row of mezzanine boxes and a few seats in the balcony were removed. This allowed more room between the aisles as well as between the rows of seats. On the lower floor, an inner wall was built between the lobby and the foyer, cutting off the noise from the outside amusement concessions and rides. The audiences welcomed the improved comfort that the changes provided. The Rocky Mountain News applauded the changes, stating that “one of the most pleasing features of the Gardens this summer is the Theatre, which has been altered so that it is vastly improved.”
