The Historic Elitch Theatre is one of Colorado’s oldest buildings — we’re older than the State Capitol, we’re older than the current Union Station building, and we’re even one year older than the Brown Palace! (Happy 125th next year, Brown Palace!)
But, the most amazing part of this trivia is that the Historic Elitch Theatre is the only one of these buildings that is made of wood. In 2013 we installed a fire suppression sprinkler system, but we’re lucky that the building lasted this long!
One month of monitoring for our fire system is $150. Would you consider donating $150 to protect this historic building? Colorado Gives Day is Tuesday, but you can schedule your donation today.
Help us save the Historic Elitch Theatre because this is a piece of history that we can’t afford to lose.
