DESCRIPTION:SparkSource and Historic Elitch Theatre proudly present the 2026 Kids Theatre Camp Intensive — two unforgettable weeks of training\, teamwork\, and full‑on musical theatre magic! \nThis immersive program culminates in a fully staged production of Shrek The Musical Jr.\, giving young performers the chance to step into a beloved story with big characters\, big laughs\, and big heart. Campers will dive deep into acting\, singing\, dancing\, improvisation\, and essential theatre fundamentals — all while building confidence\, friendships\, and real performance skills. \nShrek The Musical Jr. is a 60-minute\,one-act adaptation of the Broadway musical and 2001 film\, designed for young performers. The story follows Shrek\, an ogre\, who leaves his swamp to rescue Princess Fiona (even though he doesn’t want to). But the ruthless Lord Farquaad is too afraid to go himself.
